History of CPSC

The Centro de Pesquisa e Serviço Comunitário (CPSC) has deep historical roots within the Instituto Superior Cristal (ISC) community, having been originally established on November 5, 2001. After a period of inactivity, the center marked its resurgence and full operational return in 2017.
This reactivation milestone began with the inaugural publication of ISCE (Journal of Innovative Studies on Character and Education) Volume 1 Issue 1 in 2017. CPSC’s commitment to expanding scholarly dissemination remained consistent with the launch of JEDUCIH (Jurnal Da Educação, Ciência E Humaniora), which published its Volume 1 Issue 1 in 2020, followed by the launch of CIJIR (Cristal International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research) Volume 1 Issue 1 in 2025.
By 2026, CPSC initiated a major expansion by preparing three new journals currently under editorial development such Cristal Health Journal, Journal of Education Science – ISC, and the Journal of Advanced Educational Research (JAER). This journey reflects CPSC’s transformation from a research unit into a dynamic and contributory scientific publication hub for academic advancement in Timor-Leste.
